Recruiting, training and retaining high quality teachers has never been more important to our children. The Early Career Framework is a research-based, two-year induction for our new teachers with the aim of helping them to deepen their understanding of expertise gained throughout their initial training, and to provide them with a confident start to their careers. 

 

Partnerships

We work with two hubs across our 19 schools to deliver the Early Career Framework (ECF). 

Our three secondary schools in East Sussex partner with Step Ahead with all of our other schools working in partnership with The Kent Teaching School Hub (from September 2023) to deliver an engaging and inspiring training pathway.

Both Teaching School Hubs are delivery partners for the teacher education experts, Ambition Institute.  This means all our Early Career Teachers (ECTs) have equal access to high quality online learning and face to face development sessions. 

 

What can you expect?

All ECTs are provided with regular release time from their teaching timetable to enable them to engage with self-directed study, to attend face to face development sessions and to receive regular contact from their dedicated mentor.
