SwaleFeast 2025

SwaleFeast is an incredible, annual culinary battle amongst our young secondary school chefs.
Every year, participating students represent their school and create a fantastic atmosphere of concentration, hard work and communication to try and be the SwaleFeast winner.
This year we held our SwaleFeast competition in honour of VE day and our students truly astounded us with how eager they were to celebrate the day and create delicious, traditional dishes.
Some of the knockout schools were Meopham School in Kent who won the award for ‘Best Main’ for their portrayal of ‘fish and chips with tartar sauce and mushy peas’, The Holmesdale School in Kent who won the award for ‘Best Teamwork’ as well as ‘Most Creative’ for creating ‘anzac biscuits, cheese and marmite puff pastry rolls, potato and onion bake and a sponge tray bake decorated in a Union Jack flag with buttercream, blueberries and raspberries,’ and crossing regions, The Turing School in East Sussex who won the title of ‘Best Overall Winner’ for producing ‘coronation chicken scones and Union Jack icing covered fondant fancies’.
Incredible job everyone!
