MicroSTEM is a secondary event where our students get to benefit from the use of an incredible electron microscope.
The countdown to our MicroSTEM SEMinars has begun!
Next Friday 5th December 2025, secondary students across our Trust will be getting hands-on with a brilliant piece of tech — a portable Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), generously on loan from Hitachi.
Our students won't just be looking; they'll be learning how to use it, giving them a whole new perspective on the tiny world around us. They'll be getting up close and personal with the micro-world and learning essential real-world scientific skills.
The electron microscope will help our students to gain a deeper, more vivid understanding of scientific concepts through direct observation of microscopic structures. Phenomenal!
