Students Donate 100s of Easter Eggs

We are so proud of our students at The Holmesdale School who have come together to organise a successful Easter egg collection, collecting 424 eggs to donate to local hospitals and charities!
The initiative brought together students, staff and local businesses, including IPS International Ltd, whose team donated a generous bundle of 50 Easter eggs to help kick-start the collection. The collaboration has provided a valuable opportunity for our students to engage with their community and support a meaningful cause.
We are also incredibly grateful for the kind and generous donations The Holmesdale School received from the Co-op and The Village Optician in Snodland. It's brilliant to work alongside local businesses to give something to the community.
As part of the initiative, our students here also took part in a non-uniform day, with many choosing to bring in an Easter egg or small donation to support the collection. Building on last year’s achievement of donating 362 Easter eggs, The Holmesdale School set out to make an even greater impact this year!
The eggs will be donated to local care homes and hospital wards to try and spread some Easter joy.
The Easter egg collection reflects The Holmesdale School’s strong focus on community engagement and giving students opportunities to build a sense of shared responsibility. We're so proud of them all!
Tom Mallett, Head of English at The Holmesdale School, helped to organise the collection and said:
“It has been brilliant to see how many students and staff have taken part in this year’s collection and the support from local businesses has helped make it even more successful. We are immensely proud of our staff and students and the efforts they have made to support our local community.
“We’re really pleased to be able to share these donations with local hospitals and charities and spread some Easter joy within our community.”
Glenn Prebble, Headteacher at The Holmesdale School, added:
“We are incredibly proud of our students for their generosity and community spirit. This initiative is a wonderful example of how small acts of kindness can make a big difference, and it has been fantastic to see our school community come together to support others.”
