We are seeking a passionate, adaptable, and proactive individual to become a vital part of our school community as a Cover Supervisor.

We believe the right mindset and personal qualities are as important as experience, and we are looking for these key attributes:

  • Empathetic and Observant: You effortlessly connect with children, building trust and providing empathetic support. You're attentive, quickly noticing changes in behaviour or understanding, and can adapt your approach to individual needs.
  • Collaborative and Proactive: You excel at teamwork, communicating openly with colleagues, and anticipating needs. You take initiative, ensuring the classroom runs smoothly and resources are ready.

Key purpose of the role:

Under guidance, you'll be instrumental in implementing learning programmes for individuals and groups, including those with specialist needs, while supporting lesson planning, evaluation, and classroom management. You'll monitor student progress and provide invaluable feedback, alongside maintaining accurate and confidential student records. A key part of your role will be building strong relationships with pupils, encouraging independence and positive behaviour, and providing cover supervision for classes when needed to ensure a constructive environment. You'll also be vital in supporting literacy and numeracy activities and implementing specialist programmes.
