Be the Bridge to Student Success: Join Our Team!
Are you a people person with a passion for helping young people reach their full potential? Do you believe that every day in school is a stepping stone to a brighter future?
We are looking for a Attendance Officer to join our secondary school family. This isn't just about tracking percentages; it’s about building bridges, identifying barriers and being the friendly face that helps students get back on track.
Why This Role Matters
You will be at the front line of student success. By ensuring our students are present, you are directly contributing to their academic growth, social development, and sense of belonging. You won’t just be managing data—you’ll be connecting with families and supporting our pastoral team to make sure no student falls through the cracks.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building Connections: Acting as a key point of contact for students and families to understand and overcome barriers to attendance.
- Championing Growth: Tracking daily attendance and initiating early interventions to keep students engaged and excited about school.
- Collaborating: Working hand-in-hand with our incredible pastoral and safeguarding teams to provide wrap-around support.
- Problem Solving: Using your initiative to turn "I can’t" into "How can we make this work?"
Who You Are
- Empathetic: You understand that life happens, and you approach every situation with kindness and curiosity.
- Resilient: You have the grit to handle tricky conversations and the heart to follow up with genuine care.
- Organised: You know your way around a system, but you know that human connection is the real software that makes the school run.
- A Team Player: You want to join a collaborative environment where we celebrate wins together and support each other through the challenges.
What’s In It For You?
We know that to take great care of our students, we have to take great care of our staff. When you join our team, you get:
- A Real Support Network: You aren't on an island. You will have a dedicated leadership mentor and a collaborative pastoral team backing you every step of the way.
- Professional Development: We invest in our people. We’ll provide the training and resources you need to grow your career in education.
- A Culture of Appreciation: We believe in celebrating the small wins and the big impacts. You’ll be joining a school that values your voice and your wellbeing.
- The "Impact Factor": You’ll go home every day knowing you made a tangible difference in a young person’s life.
